In 2022, NCO Leadership and Board of Directors met with consultants to develop a 3-year Strategic Plan for the agency. Throughout the 8-month process, the workgroup interviewed 70 community stakeholders and 85 staff members, and analyzed financial, programmatic, staff, and Board data.
Over the last five years, NCO's budget has grown by more than 70% as we added new innovative programs in climate resilience, enhanced case management, and workforce development. While this growth is in response to real community needs, NCO's internal infrastructure has not yet caught up to the rapid expansion.
This Strategic Plan puts forth strategies to strengthen our agency and build our internal capacity and sustainability for the future so we can better serve our communities, stakeholders, staff, and partners.
