Caring Kitchen Project provides delicious, nourishing meals to individuals and families facing cancer. Clients receive 16 weeks of prepared meals at no cost, usually coinciding with cancer  treatment. Our organic, mostly plant-based meals help keep clients healthy at a time when shopping and cooking can be a challenge. We use as much produce in the meals as possible, much of which is donated from local farms and gardens.

A typical weekly bag contains two entrees (one meat or fish and one vegetarian), two sides or salads, a soup, dessert, and snacks or fruit. Clients rave about the beautiful, fresh food and comment on the love and care that goes into each one.

Clients are mostly referred through Cancer Resource Center of Mendocino, but feel free to reach out if you or a loved one has cancer and would benefit from weekly meals.
