Event Notice: Saturday, March 30th, 2019, learn more at The Twin Pine Hotel and Casino Event Center, Middletown, CA

(Middletown, CA) March 14, 2019 – North Coast Opportunities and Hammers For Hope invite members of the Lake County community to find out more about funding available for those who have lost their homes to fire. All are welcome, at the Twin Pine Event Center in Middletown on March 30, 2019 between 8:30am-5pm, (no appointment necessary) to learn about the $4.6 million that is available to help rebuild Lake County.

These funds are available for low-income homeowners or renters as a CalHome loan with 0% interest and no payment necessary for 30 years. Hammers For Hope representatives and NCO disaster case managers will be available at this open house to provide information and answer questions. Individuals in attendance can also apply for a CalHome loan and begin the process to find their way home.

“Affordable housing is hard to come by in Lake County. CalHome loans create a low-cost way for individuals and families touched by wildfire to secure a home for themselves and for their future,” said Patty Bruder, executive director of NCO.

The CalHome Loan Program is funded through the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Individuals who have lost their home to a wildfire are encouraged to apply.

“Hammers For Hope remains committed to helping people rebuild their homes,” adds Hammers for Hope Board President, Moke Simon. “We hope that others who are in need of housing will come to this event and start the process.”
